State of the World

State of the World: If everyone lived like Americans, Earth could sustain only 1.4 billion people.

The spread of consumer culture over the last fifty years has led to a convergence of environmental and social problems around the world. Thankfully, the transformation to a more sustainable way of living is not only possible, but has already begun, says a report by the Worldwatch Institute.

  1. Wow. That’s crazy. And really…upsetting.

    • Yes, we have reason for concern but I believe we also have the imagination and capability to build better, more equitable systems which will ensure prosperity for more than a few. With these truths we can begin creating solutions through a collaborative process of trial and error. There is hope.
